In light of what is happening across the country we have taken the decision to suspend all club meetings for the foreseeable future.

The decision has not been taken lightly but has been made in accordance with Government guidelines in relation to the current outbreak of Coronavirus/ COVID-19 in the UK and the need to avoid unnecessary social interaction.

Hykeham Lions Club was established in 1989. The club is made up of like minded friendly people who have made a conscious decision to give something back to their community.

The main objective of its members is to raise funds to support local charities, individuals and good causes.

Hykeham Lions run and organise various fundraising events throughout the year, examples of which are Golf Days, Wine Tasting evenings (with a difference), Casino nights, Easter Egg Raffles, Trolley dashes and at the end of the year they arrange for Santa to visit the streets of the local area.

In addition to fund raising the members of the club also volunteer their services to assist in local projects which are for the benefit of the community. Projects such as the Excellent Aging, working with the local council and Marshaling of local events.

The Hykeham Lions Club hold many social events which include Barbeques, Formal Dinners, Pub Visits and bowling evenings all of which allow friends and relatives to become involved in some of the clubs activities.

Hykeham Lions Club is but one of many clubs that form Lions Clubs International which is the world’s largest service club organisation. There are some 44,000 clubs within 200 countries who work together to answer the needs of local communities.

Hykeham Lions meet twice monthly at the Rustons Sports and Social Club, Newark Road to discuss and arrange new and on-going projects. We are always looking for new like-minded members.
